From Humble Beginnings to Community Impact
The origins of New Breed of Youth, affectionately known as New B.O.Y., are deeply rooted in the life journey of its founder, Kareem Hines, who hails from the vibrant streets of Harlem, New York. This remarkable tale began when a young Kareem forged a profound connection with a mentor he encountered at the local YMCA. That pivotal relationship planted the seeds of transformation that would later blossom into a mission to help countless young lives. Kareem's unwavering commitment to empowering young lives found its manifestation in the birth of New B.O.Y. Who We Serve
New B.O.Y. works with "system-involved" youth, those who have encountered the challenges of juvenile probation, and the Department of Child Services, spanning ages from 6 to 18 years old.

Supporting youth who have encountered challenges with juvenile probation and child services, providing mentorship and guidance toward positive paths.
Community Youth
Engaging with youth from the community who have yet to navigate the complexities of the system, focusing on prevention and empowerment.
Families

Kareem Hines establishes New Breed of Youth in Indianapolis, bringing his vision of youth mentorship from Harlem to the Midwest.
Sports Program Launch
Launched comprehensive sports programs including basketball and boxing to engage youth through athletics.
Expanded Reach
Expanded programs to serve 5 school districts, reaching more youth and families across the Indianapolis area.
Family Programs
Introduced Youth & Family Martial Arts classes, bringing families together through shared activities.
Leaders Circle
Established the New B.O.Y. Leaders Circle to develop the next generation of community leaders.

Kareem Hines
Founder & CEO
Kareem Hines, originally from Harlem, New York, has consistently demonstrated a profound passion for youth development throughout his life. His journey began when he relocated at the age of 19 to Indianapolis, where he initially worked as a swim instructor and Youth Director for the YMCA.
Kareem's journey from Harlem to Indianapolis, and the creation of New B.O.Y. is a testament to the transformative potential of mentorship and the unwavering belief that every young person can find their path to a brighter future. It is a story of resilience, hope, and community—a story that continues to inspire and uplift countless young lives and families today.
